GONDBA Meeting Minutes

May 27, 2009

Networking began at 11:30 with lunch provided by Jara Software & Systems.

Barry Hall, President, called the meeting to order at 12:00 noon.  Introductions of members present were made.

Jerry Arnst began with an update of our GONDBA website.  He told us where our traffic sources were coming from and how we can take advantage of the links to and from our business websites.

Amber Rose gave us a flyer and reminded us to all get involved in the 4^th Annual Community Picnic on Thursday, July 30, 2009.

Barry Hall is requesting all businesses to inform him if they have security cameras so that we can work with the police department in locating criminals on a timely basis. 

Barry is also working on a “One Call Now” program that will call business and inform of any security related issues.  He will look into the price and also hopefully combine efforts with the North Dayton Neighborhood Association and also the Northeast Priority Board. 

Also, a reminder that there will be a table at every meeting that businesses can put their marketing flyers on or any other information you would like to distribute to other members.

Barry updated us on the Community Awareness program.  Jason Horn was released early from prison and was breaking into cars in New Lebanon shortly thereafter.  Barry has been talking with the Prosecutors Office.

Our guest Speaker was the Hon. John S. Pickrel.  He told us a little of his background and how we could have our voices heard.  He suggested that we keep in contact with the Prosecutors Office and they would relay our comments to the Judges.
