GONDBA Meeting Minutes

April 27, 2011

Networking began at 11:30 AM with lunch from Roscoe’s Pizza and Ribs provided by Heidelberg Distributing.

Barry Hall, President, called the meeting to order and introductions were made by the members present.

Reminder:  Annual membership dues are $100.00 Please make it payable to Greater Old North Dayton Business Association and mailed to GONDBA, P.O. Box 193 Dayton, OH 45404

Miscellaneous Notes:

·        Dayton Motor Motel is officially closed, reducing prostitution in the area.

·        Barry, Jerry, and Becky are continuing to work on grants for the signage right before the Stanley exit.

·        Amber Rose will ask Barry to forward to all GONDBA members specific items needed for the KROC Center.  Look for further information through email.

·        Our usual meeting location, the Northeast Priority Board Office, will be closing within the next few months.  Future meeting location will be TBD.

Our guest speaker today, Officer Chris Pawelski, is here to discuss the Miami Valley Community Problem Oriented Policing (MVCPOP) 2011 Conference that will be held on May 21, 2011 at Stebbins High School.

Any citizen of the Miami Valley can attend this free conference to learn how to reduce their chances of being a victim.  Individuals should be able to find a class that fits their interest since there will be 20 crime prevention courses offered.  Classes on Drug and Gang Awareness, Organized Retail Crime, or School Bullying are some of the few topics listed.  There will also be several vendors on site, presenting their products and services for their business.
