Meeting Minutes May 28, 2008 Lunch and networking began at 11:30. Lunch was provided by Champion Auto Service. The meeting was called to order at 12:00 pm by Barry Hall and introductions were made by all attendees. The Motion was made to vote Gary Peck (Clean City Janitor) to the Office of Vice President. A vote was taken and Gary Peck was voted in office by majority vote of the member/attendees. Caitlin Borotolotto of Citywide Development Corporation spoke on the Neighborhood Business Assistance Program. Katy Barson of Paychex spoke on the payroll programs they offer. Introduction of Sam Dowse with Sebaly, Shillito and Dyer, which is the law firm working on getting us legal with the State of Ohio and filing the 501C6. We heard from Sgt. McCune on area crime. We heard that car break-ins were down as Jason Horn was in jail. Our Guest Speaker was Tim DePew, Director of the MONDAY program, the “last stop” before being sent to prison. He invited us to tour the facility and get a better idea of how it works. Amber Rose reminded us of the Picnic on July 24, 2008 at the Claridge Park being sponsored by the Salvation Army and the Northeast Priority Board. They could use some volunteer workers and businesses are encouraged to set up booths. Jerry Arndts showed us around the new GONDBA.org web site. We are offering sponsorships on this web site.
